Reservations: Appointments are required. At this time, we do not accept walk-ins. We will do our best to accommodate same day requests, but it is strongly encouraged to schedule at least one week in advance for individual appointments, or four weeks in advance for couples, groups, or spa packages to ensure availability. Appointments can be booked online, over the phone, or via text message. Please do not send a facebook, instagram, yelp, or google message to book an appointment as these are not always seen immediately. Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, or 30 minutes prior if you are utilizing the sauna or foot soak, to allow time for intake forms and to unwind. A non-refundable $30/service deposit is required at the time of booking.
*Please note that sauna and foot soak use must be scheduled along with your appointment. These amenities are first come, first serve.
*Please notify us of any allergies, sensitivity to smell or products, if you are pregnant or nursing, recent injuries or surgeries, or other medical conditions when scheduling.
Cancellations: We require a 48-hour cancellation notice. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance or missed appointments will be charged a $30 late cancellation fee.
Late arrivals: We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. However, in order to accommodate other clients, we will need to end your session at the scheduled time. Regretfully, we may need to reschedule your appointment if you are more than 5 minutes late. You are responsible for full payment of services scheduled. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Prices and services: Prices and services are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to keep you up to date on any changes that may occur.
Gratuity: Gratuity is not included in the price of services. Customary tipping is 15-20% but is not required, and at your discretion. If you wish to leave gratuity, we kindly ask that you do so with cash or through Venmo.
Gift certificates: Gift certificates are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. Gift certificates do not expire and are transferable. Gift certificates must be presented at the time of your service. We are unable to look up gift certificate numbers. Awakenings Massage and Spa is not responsible for lost, misplaced or stolen gift certificates.
Personal belongings: Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home. Awakenings Massage and Spa is not responsible for lost, misplaced, damaged, or stolen items.
Payment: Payment is due at the time of your service. You are responsible for payment of all services scheduled. Awakenings accepts cash, check, Awakenings gift certificates, and all major credit cards. There is a $35.00 fee for returned checks. We do not bill insurance companies directly. For reimbursement through insurance or company benefits, we are happy to provide you with an invoice for services received. Please note, we do not accept prepaid credit cards, Groupon, SpaFinder, or Spa Wish.
Spa Environment: Please keep conversation and noise levels to a minimum, as a courtesy to other clients. Cell phones, cameras, or any other noise emitting or recording devices are strictly prohibited in the spa.
Age requirements: Children under the age of 18 are prohibited in the spa, unless receiving a treatment. Children under the age of 18 receiving treatment must have a release signed by their parent or legal guardian prior to receiving treatment and parent or guardian must remain in the facility during treatment. Children under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian in the room to observe during treatment. We do not accept appointments for children under the age of 13 years old. *We do not accept waxing appointments for children under the age of 16 years old.
Code of ethics: Awakenings will only work within our scope of practice. Our treatments do not take place of those of a medical doctor. If we are unable to assist you, we will refer out. If you have had a recent injury or surgery, or are currently under the care of a health care provider, it is your responsibility to get clearance and a note from your doctor prior to booking your appointment.
Awakenings employs licensed and insured professionally trained practitioners. Draping is always required. Unprofessional or inappropriate behavior and conduct is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Should a staff member become uncomfortable, your session will be terminated immediately and you will be permanently dismissed from our establishment.
